How We Started KRHO
Stephen
started the idea of KRHO when his mom sugested he "find some problem in the world and try to help fix it". After
alott of thought he decided he wanted to help Aids orphans in Africa. However, while he and his sister Hannah were searching
the web for some unknown african orphanage they came across the Three Angels website and really liked what they saw. The only
problem was it was in the wrong place! It was in Haiti!! Hannah thought they should just stop looking and change to Haiti;
Stephen wanted to keep looking. But after a few days worth of a whole lot of searching the internet they both agreed
that they couldn't forget 3Angels. They decided to change from Africa to Haiti.
Next, their
mom remembered seeing a flyer at cartridge world saying something about paying charities for empty ink cartridges. Then Stephen
remembered seeing something about companies paying people for inactive cell phones.
Ruthie and Sam
(Hannah & Stephen's little brother and sister) decided they wanted to help too. Hannah began thinking and Ruthie and
Sam helped her come up with our name - KRHO (Kids Recycling for Haitian Orphans) - and the plan was born.
Hannah, Stephen, Ruthie, and Samuel hope lots of kids will find out about this recycling project and that lots
of people will turn in their empty ink cartridges and inactive cell phones. Thank You For Your Help!!!!!
